About the author

Professor Kanovitz is an expert on constitutional law and criminal justice. She has written 13 consecutive editions of this highly successful textbook, spanning more than 45 years. She was a Professor at the University of Louisville, Brandeis School of Law from 1968 to 1998, where she was a prolific writer and received numerous awards both for scholarship and teaching excellence. She currently holds the title of Professor of Law Emeritus.
